I have wavy/curly, frizzy hair, and NEVER found a way to get the perfect, frizz free hair that I envied on other girls. I thought I was destined to have lifeless, dull, frizzy hair and hence always pulled it back or put it in a pony tail.

Then I was approached by a saleswoman at a mall kiosk for a demo of these Corioliss irons. WOW! I had tried flat irons before but they did nothing to control my unruly hair. Just 1 swipe of the Corioliss on a lock of my hair left it beautifully soft and absolutely gleaming with shine, and straight without a hint of frizz. I couldn’t believe it was my own hair, and that a mere 5 seconds of work transformed it.

I splurged and paid the $200 for it, and it was worth ever penny, but luckily you can find it for much less online. That was 5 years ago. I straighten my hair once after I wash and dry it (I usually let it dry overnight), and it looks great until I wash it again. Sleeping on it doesn’t faze it. I don’t even need a brush anymore; I can literally get out of bed, run my fingers through it to adjust my part, and off I go.

I rarely use heat protection (it tends to weigh my hair down), and apparently I don’t need to. I have long hair (touches the bottom of my shoulder blade), and my hairstylist always remarks at how healthy my hair is. I never have split ends. No doubt some of that is due to having naturally stronger (albeit unruly, frizzy) hair, but it says A LOT about how safe the Corioliss iron is on your hair. In fact I had more split ends prior to using the Corioliss flat iron!! You only need to go over your hair once, and quickly! to get the results you need. On inferior irons, you may have to make multiple passes. Every additional pass can weaken your hair, so the one pass with the Corioliss helps to keep your hair healthy. Some have complained about the lack of heat adjustment. On people with finer hair, higher heat can be damaging, and you should definitely use an iron that has adjustable temp. However, for people with hair like mine, you absolutely need the higher heat in order to get the results you’re after.

My only complaint is the swivel cord, and that’s why the iron gets 4 instead of 5 stars. The first Corioliss I got began to intermittently work, and I found out that as I rotated the cord, I could see the power indicator blink on and off. Eventually it failed to work at all. However, the iron itself was so great that I bought another one just like it on eBay. The 2nd iron was damaged in my suitcase during a flight and now it has the same issue, so I have rigged the cord so that it is stationary so that it continues to work. However, I will absolutely buy another one when the time comes, I just wish Corioliss would put a little R&D into developing a more robust electrical connection in the swivel connector.

I think it’s safe to say this flat iron has transformed me as a person. I look and feel more beautiful than I ever thought possible thanks to Corioliss.

My hair is long and straight but with some frizz to it. I thought that it would be so easy to have my hair looking frizz free, but it doesn’t. I don’t think the iron gets hot enough and you can’t control the temperature. At least, it is smooth and doesn’t pull or break your hair. Also, the hair looks healthy and shiny after straightening.
