That said, a handful also got aroundthe software . MySearch toolbar installed without a obstacle and a few porn, crack and other cookies considered spy ware by Ad-Aware and Spybot were left on my machine. I did not really appreciate PC Cillin until I restored our test computer and installed spyware without it. Within 5 minutes the first porn site I visited nailed me with 32 porn pop-ups. At this point, while waiting for my PC to respond, I appreciated PC Cillin more then ever.

Trend Micro Inc has made substantial improvements in the user interface with the latest version of PC Cillin . Many of the cryptic and non-working buttons such as "ProcWatch" are gone, although some remain such as the "Add-ons" button. Nevertheless, the program retains the same "techie" feel that reflects its roots as one of the original anti-spyware software s. Because it offers also loads of preferences, PC Cillin 's interface may be confusing to some. Scanning was exceedingly fast completing in about 6 minutes on our Windows 2000 test PC.
