Why did Kristen Stewart have a different eye color in the Twilight movie?

Kristen Stewart has blue eyes, but in the Twilight movie, she has dark eyes. Does anyone know why they made her change her eye color? I thought the eye color thing only happened with Edward & the rest of the vampires? I think they should have left her eyes the way they naturally are - she looks a lot prettier with blue eyes.

Because in the Twilight novel, Bella’s character is described as having brown eyes, so they stayed true to the book.

I agree her natural eye color looks better on her, but in Twilight edward would always describe her eye color as a beautiful dark chocolate brown..
So everybody would be confused if when the movie came out she had blue eyes.

Because Bella Swan is described as being brown eyed.
And many Twilighters (including myself) would be furious if they changed that in the movie version and didn’t make her wear contacts

In the Twilight books, Bella Swan is known for having chocolate brown eyes. It would be a bit weird if Kristen didn’t wear contacts. It would be like Edward with blue eyes…abnormal.

Kristen Stewart had to wear contacts in the movie because in the book she had brown eyes, and they were trying to make her look like she was described in the book.

She wore brown contacts so that avid twilight fans wouldn’t attack summit entertainment. haha. No its because Bella Swan has Chocolate Brown eyes. And Twilight fans love the way the characters are in the book so they made Bella in the movie just like Bella in the book. They wanted the fans to be happy.

because, as described in the book, bella has dark chocolate brown eyes. and so if she didnt had contact lenses, then the fans would be confused.

in the book, bella has brown eyes, so kristen had to wear contacts to look more like her character.

the truth is that bella cant have blue eyes couse she have to seems like a vampire!!in fact she also have dark blonde hair but in the movie she have black hair!!!
then i think is also because the character in the movie have to seems like the character in the book!!

Becuase in the Twilight book series, Bella has chocolate brown eyes. You also might’ve noticed that in the poster, her hair was a reddish brown instead of her dark brown. That is also the trait of the original Bella, the one from the book.

In the books, Bella has brown eyes. Most of the characters in the film match their description in the book, including Bella. Contacts were worn to make the movie seem more like the book.

They probably did that because the character Bella has brown eyes…and some fans might have been mad if they didn’t make her eyes brown…I probably would have been mad…haha…but she does look prettier with blue eyes…but she would look less like Bella and more like herself if she didn’t have brown eyes in the movie…you know?

It’s because Bella has these warm chocolatey brown eyes in the book that are actually a HUGE part.

-Renesmee has Bella’s eyes exactly
-Bella had to wear contacts as to not scare Charlie the first time they had to see her as Vampire Bella, and the contact color was not as pretty as Bella’s brown
and the MOST IMPORTANT FACT
Renesmee has Bella’s exact eyes from when she was a human. The first time Charlie saw Renesmee, he believed that she was Edward’s niece that he and Bella adopted together. However, the minute Renesmee locked eyes with him, he saw Bella’s eyes and knew that he was being lied to and realized part of the truth. Or at least, all that he needed to know.
And Kristen Stewart has these bright gorgeous green (not blue. actually, aqua) colored eyes, and they stick out so much agains her pale skin and brown hair, and normally that’d be a good thing, but when you’ve got millions and millions of obsessed Twihards focusing on every teeny detail, you’ve got to get it right.
Seriously, Nikki Reed is like, 5 feet 3, and she had to wear like, 5-6 inch heels because Rosalie’s 5 feet 9.
The little details seriously count

My guess is to make the movie look darker, like the dark eye makeup she wears.
